FICTITIOUS PROJECT
The layout was done using Quark XPress. The Picture
was scanned in as black and white, and a duotone was applied to only the
female (Samantha Mathis) using Adobe Photoshop. The title solution was
created in Adobe Illustrator. The main goal of this project was to create
a title solution for the movie, and apply it within the application of
a movie poster ad. The title solution I created utilized the western-looking
font Playbill, and Book Antiqua for the word love. The movie was a love
triangle conflict between a young woman and two male friends, each aspiring
to get recording or songwriting contracts. Set in Nashville; abound with
country music sounds and ideals. The western font combined with a light,
almost decorative font captures the essence of the plot of this movie.
