the YW - Billboard Campaign
Fictitious PROJECT
Domestic Violence billboard campaign for the YW. Above are the 3 final
billboards, below are comps that were considered, but ultimately the above
designs were chosen as a better solution. The concept was that these would
be placed either in succession or sporadically, but in close proximity,
around metro areas. A similar look to each was needed, with a quick-read
message, but also considering drivers may pass many times a week. By keeping
colors to a maximum of 3 and bold, contrasting text, a clear message was
achieved. The main goal of the YW for this campaign was to drive viewers
to their website; thus no phone number, only a website was placed in the
design. A smart approach since if a large phone number was placed, this
would narrow the target more towards victims, and not be such a call out
for everyone to learn more about domestic violence. This way, curious
friends or unsure victims can check out the information at their leisure
and discretion.
